Based in Dunedin, New Zealand, we offer English Language Study Tours as well as Professional Development for Teacher Aides working with English Language Learners.


 

English Language Study Tours

Come to Dunedin, New Zealand to learn English in a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment whilst living in a new culture. Stay a weekend with a New Zealand family, spend time in a New Zealand school, have new experiences and visit new places while you learn.

Otago Language Experience provides cultural language experience visits to New Zealand for groups of overseas visitors, particularly primary school children aged between 8 and 12 years old. Tours are usually for two weeks, and typically include three key features:
 

• English Language Tuition with experienced ESOL teachers
• Language Experience Activities such as a farm visit, local cultural events and city tours
• New Zealand School experience and lessons

Otago Language Experience works closely with North East Valley Normal School.

Professional Development for Teacher Aides

We offer a range of Professional Development opportunities for Teacher Aides.

For example, are you a Teacher Aide or Bilingual Tutor working with English Language Learners in a New Zealand school?

Otago Language Experience offers Professional Development that will increase your practical classroom skills. Based on the Ministry of Education's Certificate in Working with English Language Learners, our training also provides additional activities and support that you will be able to use in your everyday work.
